Born in Lienz, Austria, in 1967. After studying comparative and Hispanic literature at the universities of Vienna and Madrid, she had a one-year research scholarship at the Fundación José Ortega y Gasset in Madrid. She has initiated and organized a variety of cultural events in Vienna. From 1995 to 1997 she was assistant to the councilor of cultural affairs in Vienna. From 1998 to 2001 she was a dramaturge for the Wiener Festwochen and co-curated "Elective Affinities" (1999) and "du bist die welt" (You Are the World, 2001). In 2001–02 she was an advisor on cultural matters for the Erste Bank-Gruppe in Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, and Slovakia. Since 2003 she has been artistic director of "relations."
