Born 1962 in Goch, Kleve; since 1988 assistant, management and research activities in different areas of the electronic arts. Studies of art history and philosophy in Würzburg and Berlin (M.A. 1992). Completition of the PhD degree at the Hochschule für Künste in Braunschweig planned for 2005.

Conceptual and mediating work e.g. at the Kulturbox e.V., Berlin (1994), at the Electronic Art Department within the media agency Triad, Berlin (1996-1998), senior lecturer at the Department for Humanities at the University of Skövde, Sweden (1996-1998). Founding member of the Old Boys Network (1997-2000). Research Associate and Deputy Director of the Institute for Visual Media at the Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (Centre for Art and Media), Karlsruhe (2001-2003).

Her PhD research about the Canadian artist Charlotte Davies analyses the works "Osmose" (1995) and "Ephémère" (1998) and questions in a critical way the term "Virtual Reality," the term commonly used since the 1980ies within the art context.
